Friday rememberances

The boys and their cars. We held a no weight limit pinewood derby. They met together and built their cars, an anything goes. They were certainly creative with their designs and weights.

You never grow to old to enjoy a pinewood derby.

Freezing Float Trip

Brrrrrr, Saturday turned cold, but we are tough. The ward went on a short float trip down the Snake River drybeds. (named because it is a dry channel in the winter) After meeting at Brother and Sister Broulims, they donned their suits, grabbed a blue tube and off they went. While the adventerous ones were off getting cold those with little ones stayed at Broulims to nap and visit. Even a few of the not so little ones took a nap.
After the frozen ones returned (okay they weren't really frozen, just chilled) they were greeted with yummy food, and lots of it.

They sat on the deck enjoyed the sun and got warm and full.

It was fun for everyone.

Thanks again Broulims for being the best hosts around. You share your house and yard, your talents and best of all your love.

Friday photo

The first time the Bishop cooked our Salt and Vinegar grilled chicken in the ward it was coollldddd..... This of course was back before we had the new church. So we cooked it at the shelter by the Church just to the west of World Gym, then took it over to enjoy at the clubhouse/lounge. It was tasty as witnessed by Ross.

I decided that since there are weeks when nothing is happening in the ward that I would do a flashback Friday and put up pictures from past events. Maybe you will know these people and maybe not. Talie and Justin Bell enjoying bananas

Summer Barbeque

How to have a little fun

Step One: cook up some good food. Bishop and Sister Beazer cooked up some Salt and vinegar Chicken, then some hamburgers. Micah and Dustin each took a glove and helped with the fine tuning.

Step two: Fix a plate. Step three: Eat and Enjoy.

Even being 9 month pregnant doesn't stop Joslyn from having fun.

After all the playing and eating, comes the clean up. Barry was in charge of cleaning up the lemonade, sadly there weren't anymore glasses, but that didn't stop him from trying.

a big THANKS to all who came, brought salads and desserts, cooked, cleaned, set up and just help. Each of you make our ward a success.

Relief Society Food Preparation and Preparedness Fair

The Stake Relief Society put on a Food Preservation/Preparedness Fair. There were 4 areas of focus and those who attended found something for each of them. We had quite a few who attended but it was tricky to sneak around taking pictures without annoying everyone. You in the ward are use to me doing it. So if you attended and I don't post your picture it's because you probably sat where I could get you. Maybe that's what you wanted, LOL. Jenna (thanks for playing the prelude and opening song)
